Book of Psalms with the commentary Na’eh Lehodot by Rabbi Nissim Avraham Ashkenazi—Livorno 1865.
Psalms with commentary. At the end is the book “Bikkurim”, a seder Bikur Holim with viduy and yetziyas haneshama, printed by Shlomo Bilforti in Livorno.
Nissim Avraham Ashkenazi was born in Izmir and served as dayan in the beit din of Rabbeinu Haim Palagi. He authored many books including Nechmad LeMar’ah (a commentary on the Yerushalmi), Ma’aseh Avraham (Shut on the 4 sections of the Shulchan Aruch), Darash Avraham (drashot and commentaries on the Torah), and more. Sefer Bikkurim by Rabbi Hezekaya Mordechai Bashan, who was the Rabbi of the city of Verona, has spells against the Evil Eye, pidyonot, and a seder viduy for a sick person.
188, 32 leaves. Missing leaf 4 (leaf 2 appears twice). Good condition. New leather binding, a number of pages at the beginning and end were lightly repaired. Small hole with missing bit of leaf 19. Large tear on leaf 109. Middle of the book has moth holes in the internal margins.
