Letter by the Gaon Rabbi Sheraga Feibl Hindis about a delegation headed by his in-law the Great Gaon Rabbi Shimon Shkop for saving the Va'ad Heyeshivas in Lithuania and Poland. The opinion of the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Ozer of Vilna is also referred to. Motzash Vayechi 1926.

On the official stationery of his in-law, Raban shel Yisroel the Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Shimon Shkop, the great Gaon Rabbi Sheraga Feibl Hindis, one of the leaders of 'Va'ad Hayeshivas' writes to the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Shuv, the close and loyal disciple of the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Ozer Grodzinsky of Vilna, about a large delivery of funds that reached the JOINT and is now in the capital Warsaw. Rabbi Sheraga notes that according to the publications, the money was not designated for the holy yeshivas and a quick and decisive delegation is needed to travel to the capital and see to it that some of the money will reach religious yeshivas as well as cultural organizations and others.

The members of the delegation will include his in-law Rabbi Shimon Shkop, Rabbi Yosef Shuv and a Gaon who is regerred to in the letter as 'M.M. who is the most suitable man to join the delegation and must go even if Rabbi Chaim Ozer does not agree to it'. The identity of the Gaon is unclear, possibly Moshe Mordechai Epstein or someone else.

[1] sheet of official stationery of the Gaon Rabbi Shimon Shkop. Handwritten entirely and signed by his son-in-law Rabbi Sheraga Hindis.  Some wear and small tears along the fold lines. Very good condition.
