Spanish school of the 16th century. Saint Francis before the Sultan of Egypt Malec-el-Kamal. Oil on panel. It represents the evangelizing trip made by Saint Francis, along with other companions, through eastern lands in 1219. During these adventures they were taken prisoner by the Saracens and led in the presence of Sultan Malik al-Kamel (1180-1238), in front of the which the saint preached the faith of Christ. 67 x 53 cm.
