Bird on the Church Roof
Made by J. & E. Stevens Company Cromwell, Ct. - Circa Late 1870's Pristine Plus Condition With its minimalist folk art silhouette, there can be no doubt that the Bird on Roof is one of the most engagingly designed banks ever produced. Coins balanced carefully in the crest feathers of the bird are deposited through the church's chimney when the wire lever is pushed. This is truly one of the nicest quality specimens of this bank to ever cross the auction block.
