Australian - Patented 1930's Ex - Edwin Mosler Collection Finest Specimen in the World Mint Condition with Original Box The folk narrative of William Tell was first cited in a Swiss chronicle from the late 16th century. Tell, who was a renowned marksman with the crossbow, was condemned to death along with his son Robert for refusing to bow when an Austrian prince from the Hapsburg family passed by. The prince offered him redemption in the form of a dare. If he could shoot an apple from his son's head, freedom would be theirs.
