about the artist

Danilov Igor, was born in Kazan in the family of a serviceman. He lived on the banks of the Volga for the first year and a half, after which he drove through the expanses and garrisons of the Soviet Union. He began to draw on wallpaper and pieces of furniture. Parents did not approve of such a craving for art. I especially remember the review of the painting with the title "USSR national ice hockey team", executed in the "stone on a polished table" technique.

From that moment, Igor realized that paper is a more suitable material for creativity. After school, Igor left painting for a while, as he was taken into the army. In the army, they still managed to carve out time for art, for example, to draw a girl with a machine gun on a fence post as a sentry, violating all regulations. Returning from the army as a lieutenant colonel, having served the prescribed 20 years, having looked at the expanses of Russia, Igor decided to take courses in painting and academic drawing. Here he was lucky, since the courses were taught by Veremenko Mikhail Petrovich, a member of the Union of Artists, the author of Katyusha, the symbol of the 1985 Festival of Youth and Students. Thus, Igor began to paint at the age of 34. His works adorn the living rooms of many of his colleagues, friends and relatives.
