Size: 11.5" H x 9" W | This first edition discusses the work of the Amasis Painter, an ancient Greek vase-painter who worked in the black-figure technique. His name comes from eleven vases and one fragment painted by the same hand that are signed 'Amasis mepoiesen, ' meaning 'Amasis made me.' Along with Exekias, the artist is credited with carrying the technique to its maturity. With forty four pages of black and white plates depicting the artist's work | In Excellent Condition.
