Siddur Seder Nehora HaShalem, with Hagahot HaGr"a. Vilna-Horodna, 1823


Siddur Tefillah Zakkah V'Seder Tefillot Nehora HaShalem - two parts. Vilna-Horodna, at Menachem Mann and R' Simchah Zemmel Press, 1823. With "Glosses about the prayer and blessing texts from the gaon, Rabbi Eliyahu." Important and rare siddur, with many Kabbalistic prayers and customs, and according to the Ar"i." Incomplete copy.


Part I: Prayers for weekdays, Shabbat and Rosh Chodesh. Part II: Starting Rosh Chodesh Elul, including the high holidays, the three pilgrimage festivals, the months of Tammuz and Av, prayers for droughts and floods, laws of meals and grace after meals, and Parashat HaMann.


Printed at the beginning of the siddur: Glosses about the prayer and blessing texts from the gaon, Rabbi Eliyahu." This siddur was printed before the renowned book Ma'aseh Rav with the Gr"a's customs, and indeed some of what is printed in the siddur appears in Ma'aseh Rav.


Important and rare siddur. Mif'al HaBliographiah lists it according to an incomplete copy, and the National Library has an incomplete copy. Following are details of the leaves in this copy:


Specifications:

Part I: [5], [2] - 144, [2], 145-172, 9, leaf. Lacking: The title page and a leaf at the beginning, leaf 10 at the end of the second page count bearing the end of Shir HaYichud, and the last leaf, which is unnumbered.

Part II: [3], 53, 51-136 [1]. Lacking leaf 54 from the first pagination, and three leaves at the end.

There are a total of eight leaves lacking (as mentioned, the Bibliography does not record a complete copy; the page list was determined using several sources).

16 cm. Most of the siddur is made of bluish-greenish paper. Vinograd, Sifrei HaGr"a 476.

Moderate condition: Aging stains. Worming perforations. The leaves and the binding are partially detached. Slightly blemished antique binding.
