A long halachic responsum in the handwriting and with the signature of Rabbi Shalom Messas on the laws of matchmaking, a reply to the comment of Rabbi Moshe Malka, author of the responsa "Mikveh HaMayim".
An early responsum, from the period when Rabbi Messas served as Av Beit Din of Casablanca. Many additions, corrections and deletions. Rabbi Messas sometimes uses strong language in order to clarify the truth of the matters.
Rabbi Shalom Messas (1909-2003), the Chief Rabbi of Casablanca and author of the three-part series of responsa "Shemesh U'Magen", the four-part "Tevuot Shemesh" and more. In 1978, at his initiative and at the request of Rabbi Ovadiah Yosef, he immigrated to Israel and served as the Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem until his death in 2003. He was considered the most important halachic ruler of 20th century Moroccan Jewry.
