A 'KRAAK' TYPE 'BLUE AND WHITE' PORCELAIN DISH
China, Ming dynasty, early 17th century
Circular section with the rim modeled in ogives, the exterior of the wall also modeled in relief, the upper surface with a scene of a grasshopper and a butterfly amidst rocks and flowers, enclosed within a band of ten round panels, each with a composition of objects or plants.
