The Standing Giant Iron Mechanical Bank
By H. L. Judd Mfg. Company of Wallingford, Ct. - Mid 1880's. A seemingly bellicose ogre is found standing on a rocky ledge in a mountain pass. In his right arm, he wields a gnarled knotty club in case he needs to defend himself or enforce some punishment. In reality, he's not such a mean terrible fellow. He's merely asking you to deposit your loose coins into his tummy. This is effectuated through his mouth, which opens once you push the lever down. Once he satisfies his hunger with your penny, he will let you pass through his toll.
