Silver Cup
Russian Cup (Ukraine) 1920
77 gr.
If there is any kind of drink you especially like there is probably a silver cup for it too. Throughout history, silversmiths have created handsome silver goblets, ceremonial silver cups, and even silver beer vessels designed and decorated with ornaments that often hinted at their origins. Many of us received a silver cup that was given to our parents as a gift immediately after we were born. It was a beloved and long-standing tradition that, among other things, symbolized luck and prosperity.

There is speculation that the Scandinavians were the first to produce the drinking utensils from silver as early as the end of the 16th century.

Our Cup is not from such a distant timeline but from an important historical period. 1920 Civil war in Russia, Ukraine becomes a scene of war between several different armies, all of which carried out massacres of Jews. At least 50,000 Jews were murdered in events known as the Petliura riots. A trophy with historical value.
