Study for the Sleep of Diana.
Graphite drawing on tracing paper, signed lower right, preserved in an antique giltwood frame. On the reverse, the artist's handwritten inscription "Brianchon, 21 rue du conseiller Collignon, étude pour le sommeil de Diane, pas à vendre". Time wear to the frame.

Provenance: former collection of the artist's son, sale of his estate, Hôtel des Ventes, Toulon, 7 to 9 April 2013. The woman lying down is the wife of the artist Marguerite Louppe (1902-1988)
