Chacham Cebi. By Isador Goldberger. Hungary. 19th Century
“Chacham Cebi” book by Isadore Goldberger about the “Chacham Zvi.” Hungary, with no year of publication, printed at Franklin-Társulat Nyomdája First half of the 19th century.
[1] leaf, 75 pages. [1] leaf. 15 cm. Hungary.
The book is written in poetic format, all in rhyme. On the first pages is a picture of the Chacham Zvi.
Isador Golberger (1876-1944) was a Hungarian Jewish researcher.
Rabbi Zvi Hirsch Ashkenazi (1658-1718) was one of the great later poskim. H was the father and rabbi of Rabbi Yaakov Emden- the “Yavet”z.” Called by the name of his book “Responsa Chacham Zvi.”
Original binding. The binding and several leaves are detached. Condition of the pages is very fine.
Rare. Not in the Israel National Library.
