Letter from Rabbi Chaim Yaakov Rottenberg av"d Antwerp
Letter from Rabbi Chaim Yaakov Rottenberg, av"d Antwerp, to Rabbi Zvi Pesach Frank av"d Jerusalem. The letter discusses a 'get' [divorce] for a woman in Antwerp whose husband was in Jerusalem.
Typewritten in 1951. Also signed by dayan Rabbi Meir Segal Landau.
Rabbi Chaim Yaakov Rottenberg was the eldest son of Rabbi Mordechai Rottenberg, dayan in Antwerp and then av"d of Adat Yireim in Paris. He was an expert in issues related to agunot, and he released many Holocaust agunot together with the Chazon Ish.
