New England Glazed Redware Jug, Probably Maine.
Early to Mid-Nineteenth Century, ovoid form with footed base, the rounded rim continuing to a ribbed handle, the medium red clay covered in dark brown speckled olive green to brown glazes, the side fitted with a wooden make-do plug. Height 9 inches.
