Pair of HaToshiah Booklets by Rabbi Chaim Yehoshua Kossovsky, with Handwritten Dedication. Jerusalem, 1895. Including Jacket Cover
Pair of HaToshiah booklets (I and II) - halachic articles by Rabbi Chaim Yehoshua Kossovsky, a Jerusalem sage of yesteryear, and renowned "Concordance man." Jerusalem, 1895.
Author's handwritten dedication on the protective leaf of Booklet I: "Gift for my friend ... Rabbi Yechiel Michel Tukachinsky."
A printed jacket cover was added to Booklet I. In the body of the booklet, the author's father was mentioned among the living. Yet on the cover, he is referred to using a term indicating his having passed away. His father, Rabbi Avraham Abele Kossovsky, passed away on 10 Tevet, 1895. This jacket cover is not recorded by the National Library.
Exceptionally rare booklets. Due to their tiny size, almost no copies have remained.
28 leaf, (jacket cover). 41 leaf. 16 cm.
Fine-very fine condition. Minimal aging stains and tiny tears in the margins. The bindings are detached and dismantled.
