With approbations by Rabbi Yitzchak Elchanan Spector of Kovno, Rabbi Simchah Bunim Sofer, Rabbi Yitzchak Shmelkes and others. Lengthy list in German at the end of the book of "friends" who agreed with this prohibition. The book Lichvod Amudei HaTorah by R' Ze'ev Yitzchak HaLevi Dunner, Frankfurt am Main, was printed opposing this book in 1890.
