Early, monumental community book, in an album edition, published by Massels the Printers. Manchester, 1923.
The book was published to mark the fiftieth year of the "Sha'arei Tefila" Jewish Spanish-Portuguese congregation in Great Britian from 1873-1923. A limited number of copies of the book were printed for distribution amongst the community members. The book features pictures of noted members of the community, including famed philanthropist Moses Montefiore, Rabbi Binyamon Artom, the main synagogue, and letters from noted personalities written to the community on various occasions.
Rare publication that is not in the National Library.
Tear in the side of the binding and on the first twenty leaves, not affecting text; additional tear in the upper section of the first nine pages, not affecting text. Jacket title page, aging stains.
