Three Engravings - The Temple and the Sanhedrin. France [?], 18th Century
* The Sanhedrin. A colored hand-made engraving described underneath it: SANHEDRIN OF GROOTE RAAD DER JOODEN. The engraving depicts the sages of the Sanhedrin sitting in a semi-circle [as described in the Mishna], and various figures of those coming to be judged.
Engraving: 20x29 cm. In a Passepartout: 42x53 cm. Signed in print: jan fchcnck lculp and dated 1726.
* The Third Temple. An engraving from imagination of the Temple descending from Heaven, hand-painted. Signed in print: i,g. pintz sculps.
Engraving: 32x20 cm, in a Passepartout: 44x30 cm.
* The Tabernacle and the tribes around it. The High Priest and his garments, the Tabernacle and its cloth walls. Hand-painted.
Engraving: 25x15 cm. In a Passepartout: 27x40 cm.
All three are in very fine condition.
