Torah thoughts from Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv
[1] leaf with texts on both its sides. 20x16 cm.
Torah thoughts with text from Rabbi Elyashiv on both sides. Rabbi Elyashiv wrote these words, apparently as a draft for a speech he said at a Bar Mitzva. The content includes words of chizuk and aggada on various subjects: Shabbat Nachamu, Megillat Eicha, nechmat Yisrael and its redemption. Rav Elyashiv used the reverse of the leaf to record ideas designated for the time that a boy is obligated in mitzvot, regarding the good inclination that enters a person at this age, and the sin that awaits a person after 13 years, all spiced with references to the Shulchan Aruch in honor of a bar mitzvah, and more.
We have not checked whether or not these Torah thoughts have been printed.
Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv [1910-2012] was born in Šiauliai, Lithuania; an only son born to his parents after seventeen years of marriage. In 1924, the family immigrated to Eretz Yisrael and settled in the Meah Shearim neighborhood of Jerusalem. He served as dayan in the Beit HaDin HaRabbani HaGadol and became the foremost halachic posek of the generation.
Very fine condition.
