The letter was sent to Rabbi Binyomin Karlenstein regarding an important discussion of the Moetzet Gedolei HaTorah, dated: 11th of Sivan, 1953. Signed by four members of the Moetzet: Rabbi Zalman Sorotzkin [1880-1966, president of the Moetzet Gedolei HaTorah]; Rabbi Shabtai Yagel [1875-1958, Rosh Yeshiva of Slonim]; Rabbi Meir Karelitz [1875-1955, leader of the Vaad HaYeshivot and founder of the Chinuch Atzmai]; and Rabbi Eliezer Yehuda Finkel [1877-1965, Rosh Yeshiva of Mir].
