AMAYA CARMEN: (1913-1963) Spanish Romai flamenco dancer and singer, labelled 'the greatest flamenco dancer ever' and 'the most extraordinary personality of all time in flamenco dance'. Vintage signed postcard photograph of Amaya in a three-quarter length pose, wearing a traditional flamenco dance dress, accompanied by her guitarist. Signed in blue ink to the lower white border. Together with a selection of vintage signed postcard photographs by various other dancers, most associated with ballet, including Pirmin Trecu (3), Gillian Lynne, Ram Gopal, Donald Britton, Elaine Fifield, Patricia Miller, Sheilah O'Reilly, Maryon Lane, Anton Dolin etc. Each of the images depict the subjects in dance or costume poses.
