A fine A.L.S., `Josephine Baker´, two pages, small 4to, on the printed stationery of Le Grand Hotel, Place de l´Opéra, Paris, 29th june 1959, to an unidentified Minister, in French. Baker states `Je sais que votre grande tache nous a empêché d'être honoré de votre visite lors de la première de ma Revue à Paris au théâtre Olympia, mais si vous avez le temps de vous détendre une soirée, je serais ravie..´ (''I know that your important task prevented us from being honoured with your visit to the Paris premiere of my Revue at the Olympia Theatre, but if you have time to relax one evening, I would be delighted..'') and offers her correspondent tickets for the day he would prefer, forwarding the telephone number to contact her.
