ROY RAM MOHAN: (1772-1833) Indian reformer who was influential in the fields of politics, public administration, education and religion and is considered by many historians to be the 'father of the Bengal Renaissance'. A rare ink signature ('Rammohan Roy') on a slim oblong 8vo piece removed from the conclusion of a letter, with several additional lines of text in another hand, to the recto and verso, in part, 'I have the honor to acknowledge your lette[r] of the 4th instant, acquainting me that the Corporation [of] London have done me the honor to invite me to an Entertainment at the Guildhall on Wednesday
