Elegant small gueridon or jardiniere, France circa 1850, gilt and blackened bronze, with white marble top, on 3 paw feet, on stepped triple base, decorated with sculptural sphinxes, mascarons and garlands, inside a brass bowl, height 50 cm, dia. 26 cm, rare piece. This delightful piece of furniture can be decoratively staged as a gueridon, but if you take off the marble top, you get a jardiniere with a removable brass basin. A beautiful combination.
