Large Collection - [23] Issues of the "Enlightenment" Journal, Kochavei Yitzchak
[8] volumes comprising a total of [23] issues of the renowned maskili journal, Kochavei Yitzchak, edited by Mendel Stern. Vienna, 1846-1869.
This journal began appearing in 1845, with articles, studies, songs and epigrams by leading thinkers, scholars and songwriters of the 19th century. It also contains important historic content. Edited by the maskil Mendel Stern, (except the final booklet, not included here), and was printed in Vienna at various presses, until it shut down in 1873.
