Pair of rare and important books printed in England in 1656 by the Scottish historian William Robertson. Bound together with separate title pages.


Sepher Tehillim u-Sepher Echah The Hebrew Text of the Psalmes and Lamentations with a transcription in Latin letters. London, 1656. Hebrew and English.

Each page has two columns, the Hebrew original and the Latin transcription. English-language publisher's dedication to John Sandler at the front of the book. Printed by William Robertson.

This is the first book of Tehillim printed in England after the Jews returned there about a year earlier.
