Jacques (Gaston Duchamp) Villon (French, 1875-1963) mixed media (charcoal, pencil and watercolor) painting on paper, a sketch depicting a portrait of a woman. Signed lower left. Framed. Jacques Villon is known for Cubist painting-abstraction, printmaking. Villon is known primarily for his graphic works. He is a prominent representative of the Cubist movement in art, at the same time, the influences of both impressionism and futurism are also felt in his works. He was the older brother of renowned artists Raymond Duchamp-Villon, Marcel Duchamp and Suzanne Duchamp. One of a kind artwork.
