Book of Tehillim. Zhitomir, in the Shapira Printing Press, 1850

The book of Tehillim with ma'amadot and Ivri Teitsch commentary on Tehillim, "In the language to which we are accustomed." Zhitomir, 1850. Printing press of the brothers Rabbi Chanina Lipa, Rabbi Aryeh Leib and Rabbi Yehoshua Heschel Shapira of Slavita.

Specifications: 161: 28 leaves. Vinograd, Zhitomir 87. 

Unique Features: Extremely rare. It is well known that the books of the Shapira brothers, the grandsons of Rabbi Pinchas of  Koritz, which were printed in Slavita and Zhitomir, were especially beloved by chassidim, and they attached great significance to reciting Tehillim from "Zhitomir Tehillim." 

Condition: Moderate-fine. The book is complete, worming damage to most of the book's leaves with slight damage to text. All restored with professional restoration. Aging stains. Magnificent leather bindings.
