This rare collection of Harvard Rowing memorabilia includes a Shreve, Crump and Lowe sterling silver cedar lined crew rowing award box given to Bronson W. Chanler '45 and engraved with his name and the date at the front in block letters. Beneath are engraved, in script, the names of crew members, thirteen, including James Hubbill, Jr.; Temple E. Morgan; David Cutler; Whitney Tower; Wm. R. Curtis; Boar's head engraving at top of the box . 8 1/2"W. x 2 3/4"H x 6"D. ; Also included in the lot is an appointment certificate of Bronson Winthrop Chanler to Captain, Field Artillery in the Army of the U.S., 1946. Signed by Roy Glisson, Adjutant General. Framed. 16 1/2" x 12 1/2"; The third item in the group is a Harvard Athletic Association Award Certificate, awarded to Bronson Wiinthrop Chanletr Crew Captain, 1947, Junior Varsity , by the Regulation of Athletic Sports Committee.
