Igeret HaMelitza and Mishpat Lashon HaKdoesh—only edition, 1796.
A unique work on grammar and the Hebrew language designed to guide beginners in writing Hebrew works and acquiring a high-level style. Included are sample letters and a discussion of synonyms. By the linguist Rabbi Yehuda Leib ben Asher Margaliyot, Av Beit Din of Szczebrzeszyn (1748-1811), author of Korban Reishit and Beit Midot, Or Olam, Tal Orot, and Atzei Eden, some also engaged in grammar or research. Also Shut Pri Tevuah.
First edition, appears to be the only edition. Novy Dvor 1796. 59 leaves. The book also includes a summary of the monumental work of the Ramchal, Lashon Limmudim, and the book “Tishbi” by Rabbi Eliyahu Bechor. Leaves 57-59 have simanim and abbreviations found in the mesorah.
Pocket edition, stains, overall good condition. Title page has an antique signature of ownership.
