The Gaon Rav Rabbi Yehuda Menachem Segal Landau (1861-1920) - Rav and Av Beis Din of Botoshan, Romania. From childhood was known as an Iluy and received his Semicha from the Sho'el UMeshiv at the age of thirteen. Travelled throughout Galicia, delivering sermons and ancouraging the public to Chibas Zion. In 1897 was appointed the Rav of Botoshan. In 1904, was one of the founders of HaMizrachi at the Pressburg Convention. Left writings and responsa, many of which were lost.
