The work of "Slanderers of Russia" is inspired by ongoing events, namely, frenzied Russophobic sentiments on the part of the collective West. And, of course, the picture is an echo and a modern illustration of the famous poem by A.S. Pushkin "Slanderers of Russia" 1831. This is how I see our mother Russia, old, kind, but with character and will rebuff any ill-wisher, not the first time in our centuries-old and eventful history.
Yulia Seliverstova / JSELIVER was born in Rostov-on-Don in 2000. Actively and consciously engaged in painting in the context of contemporary art for more than five years. Lives and works in St. Petersburg since 2018.
