Ladino: Tokpo shel Yosef. A story about Yosef and his brothers. First edition, Livorno 1877.
Story about the sale of Joseph by Rabbi Yosef Shabtai Perachi (Yashpa). First edition in Ladino. The same year the Hebrew edition was published.
Some months afterward the Ladino edition (what is before us) was published. In the introduction, the author writes that he published the Ladino edition for the Jews of Turkey who are not used to reading Hebrew. Signature on the title page: Yaakov Chai ben Mordechai Elmoli.
Scarce. 70 leaves. Original binding, partially detached title page with light defect to the jacket of the title page, a number of pages are loose, stains, good condition.
