BANKS GORDON: (1937-2019) English footballer, goalkeeper for the England national team who won the World Cup, 1966. Small selection of four different signed 10 x 8 photographs by Banks, one depicting him congratulating Bobby Charlton after playing his 100th International as they leave the pitch together following England's 3-1 victory over Northern Ireland at Wembley on 21st April 1970, another showing him in a goal mouth action pose as he punches the ball clear of Jackie Charlton during a Division One match, Stoke City v. Leeds United, 8th April 1972, another showing Banks in a goal mouth action pose as he makes a save from Alan Whittle of Everton during a Division One match against Stoke City at Goodison Park on 13th March 1971 and another showing him being applauded on to the pitch by both the Stoke City and Everton teams following Banks being named as winner of the Football Writers Association's Player of the Year for 1972, ahead of a First Division match, 22nd April 1972. All are signed by Banks in bold black ink with his name alone to clear areas of the images. EX, 4
