RAF, Paul Tibbets signed Shepherd Neame The Spitfire FDC and fact sheet. This lovely cover has a with a colour picture of a Spitfire plane on the front, 5 official Shepherd Neame stamps and two post marks dating 12th August 2008. The Spitfire is Shepherd Neame's traditional pub and the Spitfire beer produced was done so as a reminder of the epic aerial battle. Tibbets (23 February 1915 - 1 November 2007) was a brigadier general in the United States Air Force who is best known as the aircraft captain who flew the B 29 Superfortress known as the Enola Gay (named after his mother) when it dropped a Little Boy, the first of two atomic bombs used in warfare, on the Japanese city of Hiroshima. Tibbets has inscribed the front of this cover with some detail of the 1945 mission. Good condition. All autographs come with a Certificate of Authenticity. We combine postage on multiple winning lots and can ship worldwide. UK postage from £4.99, EU from £6.99, Rest of World from £9.99
