Two Large Artistic Receipts of Torah Institutions in Jerusalem. First Half of the 20th Century

* A large receipt from the 'Sha'ar HaShamayim' yeshiva in colored lithographic print. April 1943.

In the foreground is a picture of the yeshiva building, on the right is an amulet for success with combinations of the name in Hebrew, and an English transcription on the left. On the bottom is the signature of the heads of the institution Rabbi Yehuda Leib Auerbach and Shimon Zvi Horowitz. On the rear side is a rare photograph of children standing in orderly lines across from the Western Wall. On the bottom are printed letters of blessing and support for the yeshiva from Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak HaCohen Kook, Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld, Rabbi Zvi Pesach Frank and others.

Size: 29x24 cm. Folding marks. A few stains. Moderate-fine condition.

* A receipt for the building of the Beit Midrash HaGadol V'Yeshivat Tchoshkova, Greenfeld Printing Press Jerusalem, 1930's. Gilded ink and blue ink. In the upper part is a picture of a brick wall with the words: Only 1 Israeli Lira for each brick. On the left is the verse: 'I will give them a place and a name in my house and in my walls etc'. The institution was named after the Rebbe Rabbi Halberstam, Av Beit Din of Tchoshkova, according to the instructions of his grandfather the 'Divrei Chaim' of Sanz.

Tears in the margins. Moderate condition.
