Glass slides - pictures of the Holy Land, end of the 19th-start of the 20th century
56 glass slides depicting photos of the Holy Land. Various manufacturers. End of the 19th-start of the 20th century. 20 slides published by Underwood & Underwood, the others were issued by other publications.
The slides depict the streets of the Old City of Jerusalem, Mt. of Olives, Temple Mount, Silwan, Rachel's Tomb, map of the Holy Land, scenery from various cities in the country. In addition, about half of the slides depict Palestine Arabs at work such as spinning wool, herding sheep, baking bread, drawing water, fishing etc.
6 slides are colored, the rest are black and white.
The slides measure 8x10 cm. The slides are in an original wood box.
