Russia: bronze medal commemrating 50th anniversary of Czar Alexander II's Edict of Emancipation, 1911; size: 27mm; weight: 5.8g. Obv. Bust w/leg. "Alexander Emperor and Ruler of All Russia"; rev. scroll device representing 1861 Edict & leg. "In Commemoration of 50th Anniversary of Special Event". This edict enabled certain classes of Jews to settle outside the Pale of Settlement, though it encouraged assimilation.
