Torah novellae on the tractate Nazir written in crowded handwriting. He also deals with textual corrections and errata of ancient books. He also requests to show the letter to the venerable Gaon, Rabbi of the town.
R. Zvi Hirsch Edelman was born in Russia in 1803. He was known as an expert in manuscripts and brought some to publication. He referred to himself as ‘Ish Chen Tov,’ (a man of refinement) the Hebrew translation of his family name, which is how he signed this letter. He passed away in 1859.
