"Palestine Diary" Anti-Israel Diary. Damascus, 1971

Palestine Diary by Yousef Khatib. Damascus, 1971. English.

Diary with anti-Semitic and anti-Israel propaganda in English. The author implants poisonous, slanderous anti-Israel, anti-Zionist and anti-Semitic ideas into his historic review of various events of the time. He calls the IDF solders "Zio-Nazi." For instance, he writes at length about the Deir Yassin Massacre by Etzel and Lechi fighters in 1948, with exaggerations and distortions of the truth. He describes riots in the Al-Aqsa  mosque, blaming the Jews for inciting the riots to create excuses for their perseuction. He compares Hitler's policies towards the lands he conquered in Europe to the Zionist behavior to the Arabs, and more. The diary opens with a map of Israel parallel to a map of the Arabic countries.

The diary is replete with colored anti-Israeli illustrations and caricatures depicting the Palestinians as persecuted and tortured. Some have anti-Semitic captions.

The diary was first printed in 1967. This edition was published in 1971 and is not in the National Library.

[203] leaves. 20 cm.
