An Important Poster Calling to Pray for the Salvation of Russian Jewry Behind the Iron Curtain - 1951
An important poster from the Tehillim society 'Kahal Kadosh B'Yerushalayim' about the suffering of Russian Jewry after rumors reached Israel about cruel oppression by the Russian authorities toward Russian Jews. Chorev printing press, Jerusalem, 1951.
"The voice of our brothers' blood is crying out from the countries they are scattered in where they are mocked and scorned, imprisoned and looted, Edom and Yishmael joined together against the house of Israel and the nation of God. Terrifying information has reached us from behind the iron curtain where our enemies our conducting baseless and false blood libels against the remnants of our nation and transferring them to concentration camps as the Nazis did and torturing them with all kinds of torture, which will horrify anyone who hears about it".
The poster also mentions religious persecution in the Holy Land by the secular government as well as bloodshed by the Arab enemy.
