Collection containing 300 Jewish bookplates [Ex-Libris] - Land of Israel, Europe and U. S. A.. 20th century/ bookplate catalog.
Diverse collection of Jewish bookplates, Land of Israel, Europe and U. S. A.. Many bookplates with Jewish drawings and motifs, bookplates that belonged to Jews, or were designed by Jewish artists. Among others, bookplates designed by various artists appear, bookplates belonging to renowned personalities and institutions. We will specifically mention a bookplate designed by A. M. Lillian, private bookplates of Hermann Struck, Professor Tzvi Bachrach [two different bookplates]. Yosef Berlin, the private bookplate of Professor Mordechai Bobtalski, Y. L. Goldberg, Rabbi Doctor Joseph Unna, Professor Gershom Scholem and others.
Bookplates from various institutions in Institutions in Israel and abroad: 'Talmud Tora Synagogue' Ohavei Torah Society, Talmud Torah of Seattle Library, Yeshivat Chachamei Lublin, Israeli Cultural Revival, special bookplate for students who served in the army in WWII, from Jewish libraries in Poland which were saved from destruction in the years of annihilation 1940-1945, and many more.
Some of the bookplates are organized in albums. A catalog the of bookplates is included [two volumes] Kunstiparase Exlibris Naituse Katalog, Tallin 1935 numbered copy 76 out of 260 which were published.
Some of the bookplates are lightly stained or torn. Moderate general condition.
