Giant collection of thousands of German stamps, arranged chronologically in an album, from 1872 through 1990.
The collection includes stamps from Western and Eastern Germany, stamps from the German Reich, stamps relating to many German subjects - animals, flowers, transportation, cultural figures, municipal buildings, German symbols and more. The collection characterizes all aspects of German culture starting from the end of the 19th century throughout the 20th century. [A year is handwritten next to the group stamps from that year.] The stamps are arranged in chronological order, but are not completely sequential.
Includes a number of air mail stamps from Okinawa [Ryukya Islands], a small island near Japan under American control.
Overall very fine condition.
