A letter in the handwriting and with the signature of the Rebbe Rabbi Yaakov Elimelech Panet Av Beit Din of Desh.

An interesting letter in which the Rebbe writes to his friend Mr. Yosef Yuda Farkash with a warm recommendation for his relative 'My flesh and blood the important young man Rabbi Asher Shmuel Panet please will his honor add him to the work, even if it is difficult to do so, ... in the merit of my holy ancestors and I hereby express my profound gratitude" and signs: "His uncle, the small one Yaakov Elimelech Panet".

The Rebbe Rabbi Yaakov Elimelech Panet [1889-1944]: author of "Zikaron Yaakov", son-in-law of Rabbi Yaakov Shimon Kaner, the fifth Rebbe in the Desh dynasty, son of Rabbi Yechezkel of Desh and his successor as Rabbi and Rebbe. The last Rebbe of the dynasty before the Second World War. He refused to escape and leave his community during the Holocaust, and was murdered in Auschwitz on 14 Sivan 1944.
