Curtain from the grave of the Ramchal.
The curtain that was spread over the grave of the Ramchal (Rabbi Moshe HayyimLuzzatto), upon which multitudes of Jews opened their hearts and prayed over many years. It is made from green velvet fabric, with silver embroidery of a crown of Torah, verses, and decorations of the corners. At the bottom is a dedication: “For the Ramchal, Rabbi Moshe HayyimLuzzatto…” Around the curtain is an embroidered frame and in the margins are fringes and silver finials. | The Ramchal (1707-1746) was a kabbalist and authored dozens of works of kabbalah and mussar. He is considered one of the fathers of Mussar and authored the most well-known mussar book of all time, MesillatYesharim. 110x120cm, generally very good condition.
