A Palestinian Thobe dress, Al-Bireh area, Late 19th century. Hand woven black jeans fabric. With velvet and other fabrics on the chest piece (Qabbeh) and sleeves. Rich embroidery with silk thread. Bethlehem couching with "watch" patterns on sleeves and Qabbeh, with metal and silk threads. Large size. Overall very good condition.
