Letter from Rabbi Yisrael Shmuel Neuhaus, Av Beit Din of Chelm [1939]
Handwritten and signed letter [with personal stamp] from Rabbi Yisrael Shmuel Neuhaus, Av Beit Din of Chelm.
The letter deals with a woman who was known as an agunah, and after a while someone came and testified that he saw her husband alive, the gaon requests that the husband be approached, asking that he return to live with his wife, and he asks that 'a response be sent to me immediately.'
Handwritten addition regarding the husband, by a different writer, in the margins of the letter.
