Although the title page states that this commentary was authored by R. Meir Leibish Malbim, there is some controversy as to whether the Malbim actually authored this work or whether it was authored by someone else who attempted to use the style of the Malbim and attributed it to him. The general consensus is that it was actually written by R. Naftoli ben Avrohom Maskil L’Eisan. See Ohr Yisroel, Nissan 5759 page 189-196 for an extensive discussion of the matter (copy enclosed).
